Strange scan results

After using only JV16 Power Tools for registry cleaning I thought I'd give the latest release of Reg Supreme Pro a go.

I first ran PT and cleaned any invalid entries. I then ran PT again and it found nothing.

Next I ran RSP and got the following results.

High 6

Medium 0

Low 220

Lowest 91

All scans were run in advanced mode with the only ignore being HRZR_

Running XP Home SP2 patched up to date.

Any idea what's going on here?

The registry scanning engine in v 1.7.0.409 (RSPro) contains changes not yet in PT2007 (v 1.7.0.405).

OK I understand that but I don't understand why I still get a few HRZR_ entries showing up when I've set that as an ignore word.

RegSupreme Profess is final now and the ""ERROR"" of a few days ago is still there. When using the CLEANER he finds all errors but DO NOT CLEAN them.

When i use RegSupreme Profess V140/48 ---> ALL ERRORS ARE CLEANED !!!!

What's going on now !! The same error was found in V170.408 RC2 AND NOT in V170.407 RC 1 (here they were cleaned)

You did have that word in the RSPro RC ignore words tab too, didn't you? If you did, there is probably a bug …

In any case, you may not need it any longer in PT2007. User Assist (HRZR_) entries are no longer treated as "Useless registry entry." Some do show if the file referenced "does not exist."

Could you post a few examples of what is not cleaned? A RegEdit export (.reg file) would be best.

I restored a "does not exist" item involving a HRZR_ entry. The ignore word has no effect ... a bug.

Also, the error description contains an error -- the red part is extraneous:

File or directory "UEME_RUNPATH:C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\RegSupremePro_setup.exe" does not exist

Neither of these two bugs are in v 1.7.0.399 or 405 ...

Yes I had HRZR_ in the RSPro ignore words but it still showed these up

Still these are correctly identified as I deleted that file earlier.

Just puzzles me why they still get found.
