Using Vista Premium and jv16 V1.0.7.398. On exiting jv16, it aborts.

399 fixed this problem on Vista Premium

Same problems as everyone else with 398 with vista. Un installed 398 and Installed the new version 399 and lost my audio on the computer after the first run of JV16. (This was just the first time running, did not run any of the programs in the startup screen). Had to reboot and the same happened as the 398 version, would not shut down. Just stayed at the shutdown screen. Had to pull the power, rebooted and got my audio back. Tried to do another shutdown and it still stayed at the shutdown screen. Had to kill the power again. After this bootup, uninstalled JV16 and did a reboot and all is well. Hmmmmmm

The first release was the best for me, 398 and 399 just does not like me.

Thanks for the fantastic program, I know you will get the last little bugs out.

What exactly did you do with the PowerTools?

My system: Windows Vista Premium, 1 gig memory, Gateway computer, Sound – Creative SB X-fi. I had the normal problems with 398 as others did, when I went to shut down JV16, it would not shut down properly, vista came up with two screens about this shutdown problem. Also had a problem shutting down the computer as it would not pass the shutting down screen, and I had to kill the power. I installed JV16 and then ran the first screen that shows the program icon, I never ran any of the programs. I uninstalled JV16 398 and the computer would then shut down and reboot properly. I waited for the next version to come out 399 and installed this one. Everything seemed to install properly and ran the program to the first screen (the ones with the program icons), I never ran any of the programs. I then tried to listen to windows media and noticed the sound did not work. I tried a couple of videos online and still no sound. I then tried a reboot to clear up the audio problem and at the shutting down screen, it hung again. I had to kill the power to do a reboot. After rebooting the sound came back and all was well. I again ran JV16 (just to the icon screen) and did not run any of the programs. I did another reboot and it hung again. Had to kill the power one more time. After rebooting, I uninstalled JV16 (never run the program this time) and then tried another reboot, all went well. If you need any other info, please just let me know, I will try to help.

If you didn't actually run or use any feature of the PowerTools then the lose of sound in your system seems more like a general problem, not something that PowerTools could have caused.
