False (I hope) virus indication by avast! in PT 2007 install package

This happened this morning when I downloaded to both my desktop and laptop.

It did not happen last night when I copied to a USB stick from my daughter's PC (that copy is the one shown in the avast! popup). avast! is on her PC also.

I hope the problem is just a bug in today's avast! database update ...

Looks like a false alarm. Try to scan the same file with another antivirus product and I'll bet it doesn't find a thing.

I scanned the file myself with an updated antivirus program and it's clean.

This is not the first time of false alarm, I'm afraid, things like this happen sometimes but the problem is usually quickly fixed by the authors of the antivirus product.

Can't be anything else, really; I just uploaded the file at VirusTotal to be tested, and, not unexpectedly, it scanned clean across the board (strangely enough not even Avast found anything amiss with it this time...)

Yes, avast! has fixed it already. An automatic update to my XP Pro laptop occurred, and a new download did not upset avast!

I forced an avast! update on my Vista desktop, and the download happens now without incident.

I noticed their Quick Scanner (context menu feature) has a small bug on Vista (action window just flashes, results window doesn't show) -- not really too significant in user impact ...
