Powertools wont accept the license.xbin

here is the problem, Purchased jvpowertools and read forums, tried install and uninstall - placed license.xbin in setting directory, asked for new one sent - when it did not work, looked at settings.dat file and added the required line of code - as it was not there

and still nothing - cant get past the "no license file found" then termination of program

yet license file works in regsupremepro with no problem,,.. cant understand - in the forums i find that a secret data file is placed into the computer for piracy issues - could this be the problem?? i have a valid copy and purchased the software - any help would be appreciated - i asked before and there was no reply

Hello,

The file "License.xbin" has to be in the main directory of your jv16 PowerTools installation, where you find also three "data .xbin" files.

Hmm.. tried that also - changed the settings.dat to reflect the change and did not work - still states that not a valid license file - and it works fine with regsupremepro - cant quite figure this out - thanks for the reply though - any other hints??

Hello Marc,

For me this looks as you do have a license for RegSupreme Pro, valid also for RegSupreme, but not for PowerTools.

You could install RegSupreme and try with this basic tool if it works.

Otherwise you should re-contact Macecraft, explaning them your problem, using the form you will find here:

I did receive from Mace craft a new license file for JV Power tools when i stated the problem to them, - the sent it too me acknowledging the license as i purchased it in March of '06. i know that the files can be used for all the other software - since i have had JV since 05, that is why this is strange, - I can get them to work for the other software but not JVPT - because the screen flashes by so fast that i cant have it find the license or anything. - so abck to any other hints?? thoughts??

Hello Marc,

May be you try once if the same problem happens with the new PowerTools 2007 - still in Beta-testings, but stable enough to not damage your system.

Beta 3 should be out in the next days with some more bugs fixed.

As I know there has been done changes with the acceptance of license file.

Just install it in a new directory and put your 2006 license file in there.
