The Registry Cleaning tool?

After I uninstall any program, I always clean the registry. I happen to have 2 registry cleaning programs: jv16 and ccleaner.

I notice that ccleaner always removes a few items that jv16 leaves behind such as old start menu keys and missing mui references.

Should jv16 be removing these or is ccleaner removing too much?

Do you run Registry Cleaner in "Normal" or "Aggressive" mode?

Normal mode does no "MRU"-scan, nor "ActiveX/COM/DCOM/OLE/DBE"-scan.

But running Registry Cleaner in Aggressive mode lists all "UserAssist" entries and cleaning those entries might (will) have bad consequences for your Personalized Start Menu and your "most used programs" menu.
