.net broadcast event window after compacting the registry

Can someone shed any light on the following...

After compacting the registry i constantly get a .net broadcast event window on shutdown and i have to end task. I am running outpost pro, nod32 and have ATI cat 6.7 installed.

Microsofts UPHclean does not solve the issue either..

Registry Compacting doesn't change the contents of the registry in any ways, so I don't know whether it would be possible that simply compacting the registry could cause this.

It seems like the problem has something to do with ATI's drivers.

i think i have solved it. Outpost doesn't seem to allow a shutdown all at once, increasing the hungapp delay has fixed the issue. Thanks.
