This is a better description of the above bug's behavior ...
Note: Appearance is set as "Windows classic style"
When PT is relaunched (and no window drag resizing was done):
-- The main window always appears in its last position on the desktop ... no problem.
-- The left to right window dimensions are always as last used ... no problem.
-- The top of the window is always positioned as last used ... no problem.
-- In about 5 to 15% of the launches, the bottom window border is about 7 cm. lower (always the same) ...
-- Very infrequently (perhaps 1 out of 200 launches), the extra window space has a border, but is completely transparent. When the window is moved, the extraneous border is left behind and can be wiped out by dragging something over it. As soon as it is moved, the window is correctly sized and has a bottom border, but there is a 1 to 3 cm. gap in the bottom border.
