After giving it a month's rest I started from scratch, by buying a new license for JV16 PT. This time I put the license on the Desktop, in the My Documents folder and then directly in the Program Files folder. (eliminating that temporary license of course) I'd started with the backup computer and experienced no problem loading with those three license installation locations. (though I had to manually load the license) Things went a little harder for the main Dell 3HT until I set the program folder on the desktop and drug the license directly in--to subsequently run jv16PT.exe. I guess it's just a sensitive license protection program. I even bought support just in case. I just thought it would be of interest to let some know that I didn't give up in the discouraging environment that surrounded me the problem child.
