For a new user it obviously pays to examine all items found by the jv16 Registry Cleaner - here's one potential problem I noticed before it hurt me:
One of my registry's HKLM ..RUN Key items showed-up in the Microsoft Regedit program as "C:\WINNT\System32\bcmntray" (no extension listed).
The jv16 Power Tools Registry Cleaner couldn't find a file by that name in the C:\WINNT\System32 directory, and listed it among the other hundreds of entries I had on my first day of using the program. Luckily I spotted that item and changed my RUN Key entry to include the extension, to avoid future problems.
Obviously, Windows could run it without the extension being listed because it searched for any executable file, in that directory, with the same name.
