does the directory finder works?

The directory finder of Powertools 2006 doesn't seem to work properly.

When I put a wildcard as 'html*' under 'directory to find', then select a domain to search in with the add-button under 'search in' (for example: C:\ or C:\My documents) and then click on 'start', it just finds nothing! But I'm sure the domain DOES contain directories called 'html...'.

As a comparison, searching with the file finder works fine, so I don't think it's a problem with me. But please tell me if I'm wrong!

By the way: jv16 Powertools 2006 (and preceeding versions) is just wonderfull! Thank you!

My system, if you need to know: Pentium 4, 512 MB RAM, Windows XP SP2

html* works on my system. You have to uncheck everything in the options tab and in all three search by tabs.

Hello Mathieu,

I have tested this. and it works normally for me.

Be sure to check all the options available.

And especially the one under the 'Options' Tab.

You can un-check both

- 'Skip deep directory structures to improve speed'.

- 'Skip system directories to improve safety'.

This will get you more results.

Also check if there isn't anything in the 'Ignore Words' tab which can alter the search.
