Hello tullik,

If im correct \\ is filtered out partialy.

This becouse some entries with paths to files etc.. have \\ everywhere instead of just one singel \.

But this im not sure of.

Hi Blackdex,

On my desktop there are currently 538 items that describe the machine's hardware and network environment. File Finder finds those if you ask. I exclude them with the ignore list below so I can find possible real \\ errors in filename or directory paths.

I tried the technique after redseujac stepped in jv's ill-fated double backslash fix in RC5. :

I'm sure they are filtered out in Registry Cleaner, since one doesn't want to touch most such entries which probably are different on different machines.

I Think that the Find and Replace also lists the values within the keys.

If this is true, then it explains, i think, why you get more results in the Find and Replace :).

The only two items found by Registry Finder have \\ in the Value (see the screenshot above).

I think jv may have made a fix for this RC5 item which created a different bug: http://www.macecraft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=4233#4233
